The development of drift in Russia is gaining momentum every year. It took almost 40 years for the unique style of cornering on steep mountain serpentines, which originated in Japan in the 70s, to turn into full-fledged legal motorsport, and since the 2000s it has become one of the most popular motorsports in the world. In the last few years, the level of the Russian RDS GP championship has reached a global scale. As in any form of motorsport, drift is not only a combination of skills and aspirations of the pilot but also a detailed, equipped with the latest technology car. In addition to the insanely powerful engines and strict safety requirements, each car assembled for participation in the competition, strive to make it as easy as possible. From the song of words, as they say, you can not throw out, but from the car, in this case, almost everything that does not matter is thrown out. And the remaining parts, without which you can not do, are replaced with lighter or more productive ones. Body parts are made of plastic, fiberglass, or carbon fiber. Despite the fact that almost all wheels are made of aluminum alloy, the method of their production can significantly affect not the weight. Due to the increased strength, forged wheels can be made with a lower wall thickness than cast ones, so it is possible to significantly reduce weight and at the same time increase strength, which is of great importance for motorsport.
For our team, the opportunity to work in the field of motorsport is a huge chance not only to establish themselves as a brand of SKILL but also to be able to show the quality and reliability of our products in the face of constant congestion. The RDS 2020 season is understandably delayed, and the participants continue to actively prepare for the postponed championship. We took part in the preparation of the Forward Auto team. Cooperation with the champion team is not only an honor but also implies a huge responsibility. The professionalism and well-coordinated work of the Krasnoyarsk team gives Georgy Chivchyan the opportunity to improve and regularly occupy the pedestals of Russian and international championships.
When working together with the team, all the points were taken into account, allowing for more practical and more extreme use of the disks. Starting from the parameters of the disks and ending with notches at the point of contact with the rubber to prevent it from turning due to excessive power.
